Violet Edith Maud MOWLL was born in 1888.348 She was educated classically and studied music before 1913 in Paris, France.347 From 1914 to 1919 she was an employee at The Westminster Bank in Dover, Kent, England, United Kingdom.347 Before 1914 Violet was a Governess in Wiesbaden, Germany.347 She worked for the Goebbels family and in particular looked after the young Joseph Paul Goebbels (1897 - 1945) who later became the infamous Nazi propaganda minister. From 1920 to 1922 she lived in Cologne, Germany.347 Where her husband was posted as part the British Army of Occupation following WW1. She emigrated in 1922 from New York, New York, USA.347 From 1924 Violet was an Orange Grower in Colton, San Bernardino, California, USA.347 From 1924 she lived Colton in California, USA.347 In 1942 she lived Redlands in California, USA.347 After 1942 Violet lived Kingsburg in California, USA.347 She died in August 1975 at the age of 87 in Lytle Creek, San Bernardino, California, USA.347,351 Having moved there to live with her son (Teddy) after the death of her husband. Violet Edith Maud MOWLL and Captain Adolph Herbert (Bert) HANDMAN RAF were married on 27 December 1919 in Dover, Kent, England, United Kingdom.347,348 From 1907 to 1914 Captain Adolph Herbert (Bert) HANDMAN RAF was a Tin Miner in Penang, Malaya.351 (One of three Europeans - the other two being Dutchmen) He served in the military from 1914 to 1918 in England, United Kingdom.351 He secured a commission in the Fleet Air Arm (later to become the RAF). During the war he flew bombing missions over Hamburg, Germany and recounted syories of throwing the bombs out of the cockpit.
His primary assignment during his service was as adjutant to Colonel Warrick Wright.
He was awarded the (Military) Order of the British Empire but the reason for this and the citation are unknown at the present time. He served in the military from 1919 to 1922 in Cologne, Germany.347 Serving with the British Army of Occupation Adolph held the rank of Captain in 1919 .347 From 1922 to 1924 he was a Salesman (of war surplus trucks) in New York, New York, USA.347 He emigrated in 1922 from New York, New York, USA.347 From 1924 Adolph lived Colton in California, USA.347 From 1942 he lived Redlands in California, USA.351 He was buried in 1963 in Selma, Fresno, California, USA.347 Adolph died in May 1963 in Kingsburg, Fresno, California, USA.351
